FINDING THE RIGHT TAROT/PSYCHIC READER FOR YOU
Finding the right tarot reader can take
time, but it doesn't need to take as long if you know what
you're looking for. Reading tarot readers' blogs, talking to
former clients, and asking around are all ways to narrow your
field of potential readers. It is also good to know the style of
reading you want. Below is a list of reading styles that tarot
professionals use:
Fortune Telling Tarot Readings
The most commonly known style of tarot
reading, fortune telling will give you a glimpse of you what
your future holds. This category of tarot readings can be the
trickiest because you'll find a lot of fraudulent readers
lurking behind the moniker of psychic. That said, there are some
genuinely gifted psychics out there who want to help others.
When looking for a reader that falls under this category, it is
important to know how serious you are about your tarot reading.
If you will not be easily affected by whatever news your tarot
reader will share, then feel free to go to any psychic you like.
If, however, you are likely to be affected by what the person
says, it is best to research your options.
Present-Based Readings
This lesser known style looks at the
ingredients making up your current situation and the best way
for you to proceed. Present-based readings also look at the
future, but usually see it as the direction you are heading in,
instead of something set in stone. Readers who use this style do
not typically call themselves psychics and may, instead, say
they are intuitive or empathic. This style of reading is
extremely helpful when you are looking for guidance or in the
process of making a big decision. It can also help you to see
factors beyond your control in any given situation.
Dialogue Readings
This style of reading is similar to
present-based readings, with one difference; the tarot reader
will have you join in on the reading, too. This style of reading
calls upon both your intuition and that of the reader to find
out the cards' meanings. While it may sound strange, this
dialogue readings can be very therapeutic and will give you a
glimpse of the techniques readers use when reading the tarot.
Typically, people who read in this style do not offer phone
readings because your thoughts on the cards are a key ingredient
in each reading.
Eclectic Readings
There will also be those readers who use a
combination of styles when reading for you. You'll get a little
fortune telling as well direction and advice for your life. The
readings may even require some of your insight into the cards,
too.
A Note on Fraudulent Readers
No one wants to go to a fraudulent tarot
reader, but—sadly—they do exist. If you are going to put stock
in your reading, it is very important to find a trust-worthy
reader because, just like in any industry, there are people who
will take advantage of clients and these people are best to
avoid. If a reader ever foretells of a catastrophic future and
then recommends having a spell done for a fee (or anything along
those lines), it is best to cut off relations with that reader
and find yourself a new one. There are plenty of trustworthy
readers who will be honest with you and wasting your time with
anything else is.. well, a waste of time.
Researching Tarot Readers
Finding the right reader will take some
research. When looking for a tarot professional, the internet is
a wonderful tool, as many readers have websites or blogs with
testimonials and information on their reading style. Many
readers will also be happy to talk to you about their style
before scheduling an appointment. Questions you may want to ask
include:
What is your ideal client?
Do you do phone readings or do you only read in person?
Will you answer questions that I have about health issues?
What kind of emphasis do you place on future cards?
Do you have client testimonials I can read or clients I can
speak with?
By following this advice, you can get the tarot reading you want
without having to spend money on readings that are less than
helpful.
