Casting Spells - Choose the Right Ingredients and the Right Time to Ensure Successful Outcomes by Allison Yates

If you want to cast a spell, you need to be aware of the importance of using the right ingredients and casting spells at the right time, depending on the type of spell you cast.

Spell casters use ingredients to help focus the energy and power they are trying to invoke, to enable the spell to manifest in the material world. Herbs, flowers and leaves, blossom, crystals, oils, tree barks, tarot cards, all or some of these are used in Spell work and chosen for their positive energy and magical properties.

Crystals have well-known and widely accepted powers and properties and have been used in Spell work and for healing purposes for centuries.

Love is a strong and powerful emotion, and is associated particularly with the colour pink. When conducting Love Spells and Rituals the correct crystal to use is Rose Quartz. This crystal is used to help focus and invoke energy associated with love and passion. It is important to use the appropriate crystal for the type of spell you are proposing to cast.

Green is the colour of wealth acquisition and abundance, and the crystal Aventurine is perfect for use in Money Spells as it is associated with money manifestation and good fortune.

Herbs play a significant role in Spell work and magic potions too, and many have been attributed magical properties through the ages. Many Spell casters believe that any herb bathed overnight in Moonlight soaks up its magical energy. The ancient Greeks used the herb Dittany of Crete in their potions and healing spells because of its unique properties. Dittany even gets a mention in Harry Potter!

Candles play an important role too in Spell work. Spell casting is most effective when all the Elements are represented on the altar where the ritual is performed. A lighted candle is a safe representation of the element Fire, and can be used to light herbs such as sage, or to ignite and vaporise an inscribed or written wish or incantation, sending its message into the atmosphere and the Universe. Of course, any type of altar will suffice, and it is not necessary to have an elaborate one, as just a small box or table will do.

Spell casters always choose the optimum time for casting a spell for a particular result. The Moon plays an important role in spell work, and the power and influence of the Moon pervades our lives today, and has done throughout the centuries. The Moon exerts an unseen power that moves whole oceans, and it is the (approximate) 28 day cycle of lunar motion that has had a profound effect on animal and human development and physiology.

Love spells, where the intention is to manifest growing love, is best conducted at the time of the growing, or waxing Moon. Curse removal, or spells to reduce and repel negativity, are best conducted at the time of the waning Moon, a time when the Moon's crescent gets smaller.

Many people who cast spells are disappointed in the results, and one of the main reasons is a lack of knowledge, experience or awareness of the importance of those elements to spell casting that have a profound impact on their success. The attraction of the positive energy needed is dependent on using the correct ingredients, and casting at the correct time.

Following some simple rules like these, will greatly enhance your success in spell casting!
