WITCH BALLS: WHAT ARE THEY AND HOW DO YOU MAKE THEM By Rochelle MooreA witch ball is a brightly colored orb that people hang in their homes. A witch ball is a hollow glass ornament of sorts that was rather popular in England in the 18th century, but their origin is thought to be much older. They were hung in home windows to ward off evil spirits and illness. It was also used for good wishes and good fortune directed to the family within the home.
