MAKE YOUR OWN TAROT BAG IN THREE EASY STEPS

For those who enjoy the world of reading Tarot cards, these decks are a very special and valuable possession. Some start collecting all sorts of Tarot decks and very quickly this collection starts adding up and adding up. Some have collection of up to 100 decks and above! With the boxes that these cards come in, that takes up a lot of room. Even if you only have two or three decks, this can take up some room as well.

Tarot card bags are very popular and create a way for you to store your Tarot decks with ease. The bulk of the boxes are taken away or the boxes can be stored somewhere for safe-keeping. Others like to store their deck in a bag for the sheer beauty of it. Some even like to have their Tarot card bags certain colors to instill "energy" into their deck or to protect their cards.

For either reason, Tarot card bags are a great way to store, protect, and even display your deck. These bags can range from inexpensive to very expensive, though. I will tell you a simple way you can make your own Tarot Card Bag for a cost of next to nothing or even free!

What You Will Need:
- A pair of pants that you no longer plan on wearing. These can come from your closet or you can raid your friend's closet and get something there. You can even find them at yard-sales and thrift-stores for just a few cents.

You will use these as the material for your bag, so make sure and use a pair with the color and type of material you want your bag made from.
I used an old pair of purple silk pajama bottoms.

- Either a needle and thread or your sewing machine.

- A pair of scissors.

That's all you need and now we can get started!

Step 1- Lay out the pair of pants that you are going to use on a table or in front of you. Start at the bottom of one pant leg. Figure out how tall you want your Tarot card bag to be. This will be from the very bottom hem straight up the leg until you've reached the length you wish your bag to be. Now, cut the straight across the pant leg where you have decided. Also cut a long, thin strip of material from the pant-leg...this will be your drawstring.

Step 2- Turn the part of the pant leg that you cut off inside out if it's not inside out already. Now, with either your needle and thread or your sewing machine, sew straight across the cut edge of what will now be your Tarot card bag. This will leave the hem end (originally the bottom of the pant leg) for the top of the bag...you won't even have to sew anymore on the bag! Turn the bag right side out.

Step 3- Finally, take your scissors and starting about 1/4 inch under the hem, snip little horizontal slits by slightly pinching up the fabric and snipping it with then tip of the scissors. Make these slits about an inch apart all the way around your bag.

Note: If you have a sewing machine with a buttonhole option, you may do this instead of cutting the slits if you wish.

Now, thread the long, thin strip of fabric you cut in and out of the slits that are now all the way around the bag. You have a drawstring for your bag!

There you have it, you just made your own Tarot Card Bag. Now you can make as many as you need for almost no cost or completely free of cost.
